YELLOW FINGERS” TO-NIGHT.

“ Yellow Fingers,” a William I'ox production will be shown to-night. The story tells how, reared in the wild and mysterious atmosphere ol a tropical island of the Malay Archipelago, Sainn, the beautiful young ward of Peter " Brute ” Shane, is deliriously happy until a dark cloud looms in the person of another woman. Shane is kind to Sainn, whom he has raised from infancy, and is the lilelong friend of the old Rajah. [Curio, the Rajah’s son, is unscrupulous, and tells the lmtivcs that the Rajah is old. and that some day he (Kario.) may rule the islands—-then Shane had better beware. Shane departs on a threemonths’ trip, leaving Sainn. who has come to love him intensely, very lonely. He is considerably older than the girl, and merely looks on her as Ills daughter. Six weeks later, the vessel is lying off Bangkok, and two members of the crew arrive back from a trip to the town with a girl. The girl is almost overcome with terror, as she describes the clutching yellow fingers which still seemed to be threatening her. . . With the aid of the old

Rajah and his natives they arrive at the hut at the same moment that Kario and his forces arrive. They capture Shane, but the old Rajah succeeds in causing a panic among his soil’s followers, and Kario is killed. The reign of unrest is over, and the day Shane sails for England with Nona lie hogs Sainn to accompany them, but all in vain. Sainn, in royal robes, crowned queen of the island, looks towards the boat, where the ship hears .Shane and the woman of his choice out of her life. A comedy, and topical giymlte complete a fine programme.
