RANFURLY SHIELD. CHRISTCHURCH, June 8
“It is the extraordinary irony of fate that Canterbury is not going to get a pop at the Ranfurly Shield, after all these years.” said Air J. K. Moloney at a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening. In reply to Air Moloney, Air S. F. Wilson said that AVnirarapa owed Canterbury a visit. AVnirarapa would he touring the north at the same time as the Canterbury team was on tour. Mr Moloney: There does not seem to be much chance of us getting a game for the Shield. Tho Chairman (Air A. E. AlcPhail); Not so far as AVnirarapa is concerned.
