HOME. April 14. Workmen at: Quisisana. near Castellaniare, who were demolishing nil ancient wall, found an earthenware cup which experts declare to he one oi the best examples of art pottery ol Homan Imperial times. The cup. which is Sin. in diameter, has a fine (dive-coloured patina and is beautifully decorated. The bottom has in relief a bust ol Jove and at the top there is an eagle holding the lightning in its claws. Hound the inside of the cup are painted four chariots with galloping horses. The cup will probably be placed in the Naples museum. -*tr-.
