While Japan is sparing no efforts to co-operate with other powers in China, she is determined to safeguard her legitimate rights, and the interests <f China, and has not the remotest vis to interfere in the domestic nflairs of China, or help any outstanding figure or force, said Premier llanaka replying to a toast at the International Journalists’ Association dinner, at which lie was a guest. The Premier concluded—“ Contrary to apprehension that Japan is seeking territorial expansion for surplus population, Japan is above all, seeking markets for products and harmony with all foreign peoples.”
