FOOTBALL.
WEST HAND SUB-UNION. MONDAY, JUNE Gtli. The usual weekly meeting of the Westland Sub-Union took place last evening, Mr I'. McGregor presiding. Present: Messrs D. Dowell, S. Aloore, J. Stafford, R. Wliiley, A. Cutbush and R. McDonald.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed and inward correspondence received. The W.C.R.U. wrote notifying exchange of referees; also stating that Freitas had been cautioned at an emergency meeting of the Executive. A vote of thanks was passed to all referees for valued assistance so freely given on June 3rd. It was resolved that a request from Convent School for a football lie acceded to.
It was resolved to commence the second round of the Junior and Thirdgrade competitions on Saturday next. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. JUNIORS. Excelsior A. v. Ross, at Ross—Mr A. Cutbush.
Kanieri v. Kokatahi at Hokitika at 3 p.m.—Mr Kearns. Excelsior B. v. Rimu at Rinui—Rev. Father McKay. THIRD-GRADE. School v. Excelsiors at 1.30 p.m. Rimu. a bve. Mr D. Williamson was recommended 1 1 W.C.R.U. to referee Saturday’s senior match at Hokitika.
