(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.] A BIG FIRE. NEW YORK, June 5. At Montgomery, in Alabama, the firemen dynamited some city blocks to stop a big fire after two million dollars worth of damage had been done. The fire started in a rubbish dump. It swept the wholesale district. The explosion saved the largest hotel and the big powder deposits in the I.oeb Building, which if ignited would have wrecked the city.
