The second day of the Dunedin J.C. winter meeting was held in fine weather. The track was holding. There was a large crowd present. The tote took €35,988.1 for the day. compared with €31.047 on the second day last year. Results:—

Tbe Auckland Racing Club’s (front Northern Steeplechase mooting opened to-day in perfect weather, and in tbe presence of a very large crowd. Tbe course was heavy and the totnlisntor handled €92,707 V. compared with €80,489 on the first day last year, an increase of €12.218.1. Results:—
