KOKATAHI GUN CLUB
A shoot was held at the Kokatahi grounds yesterday. There was a large attendance of the public in conjunction with the AA’inter Show. Several members of -tlio Hokitika Gun Club were in attendance and took part in the shoot, the day being perfect for shooting. The prize was a trophy donated by Afr .J. J. .Mclntosh for the first, the second prize being £l. Nomination ss. Nine bird rise. Twenty shooters faced the trap, several members putting up a very creditable performance, the winner being Stall Graham with 15 breaks. Donald AVoir taking second money wtli 14 breaks. Graham, AAeir and Aleliarry shot the possible. In the shoot off Graham won on his loth bird. The shoot was in charge of Secretary AYeir. and Umpire P. lieslan. both giving every satisfaction.
The principal scores were:—S. Graham I3.vds, 15 kills; D. AYeir 10yds. 14 kills; J. Aleliarry 13yds, 10 kills; J. AY. Kelly 13yds. 8 kills: AY. Lyes 11 yds. 8 kills: J. Mclntosh. juur., 11yds, 8 kills; S. Godfrey 18yds. 7
kills: J. AlcCorinick 14yds. 7 kills; R Daves 11yds. 7 kills.
The medal was presented by the donor, who complimented the winner oil his very creditable performance, and lie hoped lie would continue his good shooting. Aii invitation was extended to the Kollatahi shooters by the Hokitika Gun Club for them to compete on the Hokitika grounds in the near future, the invitation being accepted. It is expected that a keen competition will eventuate.
