LINDBERGH'S FLY. LONDON, May 31
Lindbergh, replying at a dinner in his honour, said the fact that lie rcachthe coast of Europe was in no way due to mere luck of navigation. Ibe fact that he arrived within three miles of his course was entirely a coincidence but by proper navigation it should be possible to arrive within twenty-five miles. Had the ’plane drifted as far north as Sweden or as far south as Spain it would hardly have been possible to reach Paris. LONDON, Afny 31.
Lindbergh is not visiting elsewhere in Europe. It is understood this is the outcome of an American official desire for his return immediately, the motive for which is believed that Lindbcigh should avoid the possible embarrassment of accepting some and declining other invitations.
