AY. JEFFRIES AND CO’S REPORT. Yesterday’s entry at the above yards was below the usual total and in consequence of this and the attendance of outside buyers, prices made a distinct advance, easily from 25s to 30s per bead. Prime ox beef' ranged from 34s to 37s per hundred, heavy steers from 31s to 35s per hundred, medium finished weights from 30s to 335. The quality of the yarding was good. AYe sold as follows:

Condon 1 bullock at £ls 2s fid, 1 at £l4 7s (id, 2 at £l3 ss, 1 at £l3, 2 at £l2 P2s 6d, 2 at tCIO 15s, 3 at £lO 10s, 2 at £9 17s fid, 2 at £8 12s 0d; on account of P. Paganini 2 bullocks at £l3 15s.

In the light of above prices it is interesting to learn that the following message was received by radio from Sydney last evening. ‘‘lncluded in the Homebush yarding to-dnv were 3347 head of fat cattle, the quality was not as good as previous vardings, and there was a. strong demand for prime beef. Yealcrs made 4ls to 42s per hundred. Prime heavy ox 34s to 30s, prime medium ox 31s to 365, higher quality 28s to 30s, rough sorts 20s to 255. One line of 77 fat cows for Air AA". R. Afonroe averaged £9 2s 6d.
