A meeting of all players of the Old Girls’ llaskut Ball Club will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the school.— Advt.
At the Soldiers’ llall on Thursday afternoon, Mrs Heinz will give a special demonstration of gas cooking in which the following will be prepared Waffles, scones, oat.ina biscuits, meringue shortbread, nut cheese straws, and toad-in-a-hole. The judging of the gas cooking entries will take place also.
A telegram received hy Mr M. Wallace, Factory Manager ol the Arahura Dairy Factory, states that the Arahura Factory took second prize in its class at the Waikato Winter Show, the monster Exhibition of the North Island. As there were a large number of competing factories from all over the North Island ami from some of the South Island factories, the result must he highly gratifying to Mr Wallace and to those associated with the Arahura Factory.
