ELECTION UPSET. ADELAIDE, May 31
Tin* Court of Disputed Returns declared mill and void the, election of T. T. Thompson, Independent Labour candidate for Port Adelaide district in the \ Assembly, at the recent elections. Thompson defeated the sitting member. Condon and the latter lodged a petition on the grounds that the result of the election was influenced by the issue of a cartoon by Thompson or his agents, depicting Condon holding more than one job, which was contrary to the platform of the Labour .Party. Tt also contended that the cartoon implied that Condon had given up honorary offices and retained paid ones, thus creating undue influence on the minds of the electors.
