ing ground. General Chang Chung Chang. Shantung commander, is reported to have been seriously wounded. Further news from Hankow region states that missionary property at Changsha was looted and burned by Southerners entering the city. Labour unionists have executed red elements, who are lielieved to have been cleared from Ivuikiang and Aluchang.
Six United States missionaries have returned to Nanking, being the first foreigners to go there since the outrages. Soviet troops are reported to bo mobilising on the Manchurian front-
