A, messsge from Sautnrd, lexus. states that as the result of an explosion, eighty million cubic tcct ol gas burst into flames. Two were killed. four are missing, and a number were injured.
INDUSTRIAL MISSION. WASHINGTON. May 20
Air Guy was unanimously elected permanent chairman of the Australian Industrial Alission for consideration ol the report, on the motion of AT. K. Grcyndlor. Guy states members settled down well and he fecK more optimistic that they will obtain a unanimous report on many points which will he of material value in 'Australia.
United States Department of Commerce is giving every facility to assist the mission and providing officers to secure required information. The mission proposes to leave for home in (he middle of June, investigating cotton and sugar products in Birmingham and New Orleans, also oil at Los Angeles. en route to San I'raiieiscu to pick up the steamer.
