The Coroner returned a verdict that the deceased Kric Ashton died at the Grey Hirer Hospital on December I. 1926, and that the deceased -John Lindsay died at the same place on December ,’L and that deceased. Krnest lirammer, Kdwanl l’ardington, Thomas Black, .Jamcis Met nilogh Marshall, and Allred Noil kos came to their deaths at Dobson on December .‘l. 1920, and that. the cause of death was in each case carbon monoxide poisoning and shook, tine to an explosion in the Dobson Coal Mine on .'ird December ; and that there was no definite evidence to show how the explosion originated.

The funeral of the late Mrs Boyle, of Donoghues. took place yesterday morning to Boss Cemetery. Requiem Mass Was celebrated at 9 o’clock, tbe cortege leaving St. Patrick’s Church at II o'clock. Rev. Father O’Doherty conducted the services at the Church and graveside. There was a large attendance of friends and many motor cars brought mourners from outside districts. A number of floral tributes were placed on the grave.

At the Magistrate's Court to-day before Alessrs Evans and detfries. Justices, James Edwin Senrlo was charged by the police (Sergeant King) with drunkenness and using profane language in a public place. Accused pleaded guilty, and after hearing the statements of Constable Randall and Sergeant King, the accused was fined 5s fod drunknenm-ss and £3 for using bad language with the alternative of "is for drunkenness and £3 for using pliction of tho police a prohibition order was granted also against the accused.
