HOMELESS- -MEN. WELLINGTON, May 26. Four men whose ages ranged from 32 to 41 years, who have been sleeping out in tiie scrub at the top of Constable Street were prosecuted to-day. William Lloyd, Arthur Bryce, and Alfred Charles, Welshmen, wore charged with being idle and disorderly, in that they had insufficient lawful means of support; and Robert William AJclnLyre was charged with being a rogue and vagabond for that reason, and a previous conviction tor being idle* and disorderly. The police report showed that all the men had a list of previous convictions. and it was stated they were addicted to drinking methylated spirits. Afclntyre got six months’ imprisonment, and the others three months.

Severe injuries, including a fracture of the pelvis, were sustained by James Flight, a married man, employed by the Harbour Board, through being crushed underneath a “grab" at the King’s AA’harf this afternoon, and he died in the Hospital to-night. Flight was engaged in repairing the “grab ’ which was a heavy one. and while wheeling it on a truck, it overbalanced and fell across his body.
