FLOATING THEATRE.
GENOA. April 6. A wealthy Genoese merchant lias embarked on an original theatrical enterprise by purchasing an obsolete liner and converting it into a floating theatre, dance hall and restaurant. The theatre will have seating accommodation for 1.500 persons, and the actors, actresses, and entire staff will he hoarded in the ship, which the organiser considers alone will constitute a considerable saving of expenditure. The floating theatre will have its first performance at Genoa in two months time, after which it will leave oil n voyage planned to include nearly all the leading ports of the world, ft the box office receipts in a particular port cio not look promising, the floating theatre will weigh anchor and proceed elsewhere.
