GAS COOKING.
There will be a gas cooking demonstration at the Soldiers’ Hall on Thursday. June 2. the last of the season by Airs Heinz.
011 the same afternoon there will be a gas cooking competition at the Soldiers’ Mall. The classes open are plain scones, date scones, plain cake, sponge. Points will Ire awarded in each class, and the winners will be selected by the aggregate points gained There will be three prizes, a gas beater, gas waffle iron, and a gas iron. T.lie three placed competitors take their choice of the prizes. Exhibits will be received at the Hall from 2 to 2.30 o’clock and the gas cooking demonstration will he given while the judging is in progress. Afternoon tea ivill he served to the visitors. The competition combined with the demonstration will supply an interesting afternoon, and no doubt many householders will he interested in the proceedings. All particulars regarding gas cooking and heating appliances, which are procurable on time payment, will he available at the Hall.
