1 fMI SECOND CHANCE.” TO-NIGHT.
I hough past productions featuring Anna Q. Nilsson have provided dramatic entertainment of a very high order, her most recent feature, “ Her Second ( bailee,” is generally rated as her best eiiort. Cast as a Kentucky mountain f?i>‘lj Miss Nilsson is responsible, according to the critics, for some of the finest work imaginable. Treated harshly by the I aw. the heroine of the story redeems a vow of revenge, and pays the penalty behind prison bars. On her release, the girl decides to take another name, mix with society, and thereby move in the same circle as the man she had sworn to break. The story unwinds to a big and thrilling climax, and the spectator is afforded many intimate glimpses into the lavish lives of the wealthy. Some particularly exciting episodes are enacted on the racecourse, which afford abundant relieving touches. Opposite .Miss Nilsson in “Her Second Chance” is the handsome Huntley Cordon, whose characterisation is said to be wonderfully sustained. The picture will screen to-night at the Princess Theatre. A good supporting series will also b;> presented to-night, including the latest. in Topicals and a good comedy. On Wednesday, Little .Jackie Clarke (the greatest juvenile comedian in the Southern Hemisphere) will make his lirst appearance here in conjunction with a line picture display. (He’s only eight, hut he’s great) comedian impersonator, monologuisl. eceont lie dancer, lie will entertain you. Don’t miss him. tie is simply wonderful.
