EMBARRASSING HOBBY.
PARTS, March 2. An extraordinary arsenal of firearms cartridges, and explosives was discovered by the French police yesterday when they searched the garage and private home of AT. Dnncart, a mechanic living in the Gobelins district of Paris. The detectives were astonished when the found in the garage 10 machine guns, carefully cleaned and oiled and placed with their proper spare parts in wooden cases. This discovery led to the search of AT Dancart’s flat, where the police found hanging on the walls in sacks no fewer than 80 rifles and a 100 revolvers and automatic pistols. All were fully loaded.' 16.000 CARTRIDGES. lit cupboards were found 16000 cartridges number of detonators, periscopes and range finding apparatus. In the cellars were gunpowder and melinite as well as Yevey-light cartridges M. Dnncart, who was detained by the police, explained that ho was a collector of warlike material, which he bought merely for amusement. Police inquiries show that Al. Dancart does not belong to any advanced political party. He will be charged with the illicit possession of arms.
