GENERAL DROPS DEAD.
BERLIN. April 4. General von Wri.sberg. director of the general War Department during the Great War. died suddenly this morning in extraordinary circumstances. To-day is the anniversary of the death of Bismarck, and the general caine with 120 members of a patriotic society to lay a wreath at the foot of the statue of the “Iron Chancellor,” which stands before the Reichstag at a spot where public demonstrations are not allowed. In spite of the prohibition the general began to make a speech. A policeman told him that he , must stop, but he took no notice': The policeman then told him that he must eoine to the police station to establish his identity. It is stated that the policeman took him by the sleeve and that they had only gone a few paces when the general fell down dead. A doctor, who was an intimate friend, said there was nothing the matter with the general, but that the emotion was so intense that it affectec] his heart.
