WEST COAST RUCBY UNION.

The usual weekly meeting of the above Executive was held last evening at Grevmoutli.

The following players were admitted to tho Rugby code oil tilling in the lirescribed form.—Colin Campbell, 0. -T. Pfahlert, W. Mills, W. L. Medway. It was resolved that a nominal roll of all players playing under the jurisdiction of the West Coast Rugby Union he jireparcd and that Secretaries of Clubs be asked to provide same by 3lst Mar.

A query as to the ruling of the Union where a Club plays a League player before being reinstated to the code was referred to this Union from the A estland sub-union for a ruling, and it was carried that they be advised that this Union rules that the onus is on the team playing a League player, and therefore they must lose the match. On the recommendation of the Westland Sub-Union, the following players were reclassified from senior to junioi —C. Pfahlert, C. Howat, McKenzie, R. Fluetv and J. P. Stopforth.

An application for readmission to the code from C. A .Craig (Ashburton) was received from the Canterbury Union for report and it was decided to recommend to the New Zealand Union. Referees’ reports were read and received and found all satisfactory. It. was resolved to immediately get in touch with Canterbury Clubs re match with West Coast representatives on 3rd •Tune. . An application was received from Ashburton Union re terms for an intended tour of the West Coast and the secretary was instructed to supply the necessary information, and it was decided if possible to arrange with Ashburton to play a match also at Hokitika. The President. Mr Adams, reported that Golden Ray Union had definitely promised to tour the 'West Coast this season and also that the last year Maori team would definitely tour the Const, the matter being k*lt with the .ilaori Advisory Hoard to arrange. It was suggested l.y the Bullcr delegate that the Coast team tour to Bullet- the first pay Saturday in duly. Resolved to write the Nelson l nion in reference to the sequence of travelling of the Seddon Shield teams, suggesting the series of matches be commenced next season with a visit to the Coast and Puller by either Nelson 01 Marlborough. Resolved that Canterbury Management Committee be written to inviting their 15 senior representative team to phiv two matches ; one at Greymouth, and the other at Hokitika this season. Resolved that a challenge lie immediately put in for Seddon Shield match with Nelson suggesting Saturday, 6th August.
