LATE LOCALS
A motor lorry party struck trouble at Berlins, in the Buller Gorge, where their lorry toppled over the bank on Sunday evening. A car was sent out with tackle to raise the lorry, which had fallen down 25ft and was resting oil some saplings which prevented its further descent of -10 feet.
The death took place at the O'Connor Home, Westport, on Monday evening of iMrs O'Kane, a native of Ireland, 84 years of ago. Deceased resided 50 years in the Dominion. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, living in the North Island. Deceased had been twelve months in the home.
