CHINESE TROUBLE.
(Australian Press Association & Sun. CHINKS 14 KfO HTINO. (Received tliis day at 11.0 a.m.) SHANGHAI, May 17. Heavy fighting continues in Haiianhakow. Government's forces and Northern Allies made no appreciable difference to the situation, whereby Chinese in Hankow are sheltering in the remaining foreign concessions, sending their families to Shanghai and lower downstream, where Chang-Kai-shek has engaged a mixed Northern force.
British wireless reports the situation is not favouring C'liiang-Kaishek.
