Auckland Electric Power Board has arranged for a loan ill Australia of £150,000, being the balance of a loan of £050,000 for the extension of its reticulation. They are most satisfactory terms. It is for 21 years, at 5 per cent. The price will be 94 nett in Auckland, bringing interest up to 5) per cent. The best London offer received was £5 12s Od per cent.

Hon Young informed a deputation that the provision of school dental clinics had reached the limit for the time being. New clinics could only he established gradually. He had very seriously to consider whether they could not curtail some of the work that had to he done for children over the age of nine, once their mouths had been put in order. Only thirty trail l could ho handled and building accomodation was cramped. It was no good asking Government for much money this year to provide building accommodation, for training more nurses. Claims for dental service b.v private schools could not ho entertained.

RADIO WAVE-LENGTHS. CHRISTCHURCH. Afay 17

There have of late been very many complaints about alterations in the wave-lengths of some of the New Zealand broadcasting stations. The Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand Limited was yesterday informed by the Post and Telegraph Department that it had been decided to revert to 400 metres temporarily until the whole matter of wave lengths has been considered.
