MELBOURNE, Alay 13. The State Premier, Air Allen, lias
resigned. The Governor of Victoria has sent for Mr Hogan, the Leader of the Labour Party. The Governor’s interview with Air Hogan was in the nature of a consultation, and the Governor probably will see tlio other Party leaders before handing out a fommission to form a Government, but a I.ahour Aliiiistry is now practically certain. S.S. ULIAIAROA’S OVERSIGHT SYDNEY, Alay 12. The steamer Ulimaroa sailed at 2 p.m. for New Zealand. . The vessel cleared the Heads at one o’clock, hut after -she was at sea a short time it was discovered that some of the ship’s papers had 'been overlooked. The vessel had to return for them. THE TASMAN REFLOATED. SYDNEY, Alay 13. The steamer Tasman has been refloated. She is only sliglißy damaged and she continued her voyage to Sydney.
DISASTROUS FIRE. MELBOURNE, May 14. A fire destroyed a building in the city occupied by a number of firms. The damage is £100,030 sterling.
