CHARGE OE STEALING SACKS. CHRISTCHURCH, .May 11. At the Supreme Court before .Justice Adams, Samuel Crawford Rodgers was found not guilty on charges of stealing sacks and receiving sacks knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. .

'I he fourth disagreement of a jury at the present Supreme Court sessions took place to-night, when the jury in the ease of Robert Land), aged -JO years, a dealer, charged with receiving six tons of galvanised iron, valued at hls(>. stated, jitter tour hours’ retirement. tluit there w;is no possibility ol reaching the agreement. Mr Justice Hordinan said: “I am sorry, hut the responsibility is yours, not mine.”
The accused was allowed bail and was directed to appear on Monday morning, when the future of the case will he determined, this being the third time that :i jury has disagreed in his case.

Stanley Keebfc Clark was charged in the Supreme Court with setting fire to his home in Victoria ('resent-, Newmarket. He was found not guilty. Tn discharging the accused Air Justire Stringer warned him to keep away from drink. If he came hack again ho was warned drink would not ba taken as an excuse.
