To-night at the Princess Theatre

The finest traditions of the merchant marine are glorified in Joseph Conrad’s “Lord Jim” which Victor FI tuning lias produced as a Paramount picture, with Percy Mannont, Shirley Mason, oah Beery, and Raymond Hatton in the principal roles of the cast. Mannont, in the title role of the story, deserts his ship in a moment of danger, and spends the rest of his life regretting the act of trying to live down the name “Coward” which follows him everywhere. He faces courageously perils that make paltry a leaky steamer in a typhoon. Love is his final and greatest conquest. A ravishing girl offers him such love as Oriental poets sing about. Then a white man, evil, cunning, and revengeful, penetrates Marmont’s last refuge on earth. In a terrific battle against a‘thousand odds the astounding climax of the kaleidoscopic career of “Lord Jim” is brought to an end.
A Topical and Comedy completes a ‘grand display to-night. Miss Williams’ orchestra will play the incidental score for this fine programme.
On Friday next another new seria will lie shown introducing William Desmond in “The Ace of Spades.”
