TOWN HALL PICTURES

TO-NIGHT AT 8.30

“Stepping Lively” an exciting drama of the underworld, starring Richard Talmndge, comes to the ’loan Hall tonight. The plot is one of the most unique in the annals of the screen. II deals with the mysterious manner ill which guilt is fastened on the innocent hero (Mr Talmndge) by an unscrupulous rival lor the hand cl Iho haulier’s daughter. This is accomplished through a device by which the villain plants finger-prints. Mi Talinadge is supported by a large and capable cast, with Mildred Harris placing opposite him. Miss Harris is ~M r Talmadge’s leading woman, and the love affair in which these two young people are engaged on (he screen is one of the most delightful episodes of its character ever put into a Talmndge feature. Miss Harris, formerly Airs Charlie Chaplin, is ail artist of high repute and she invests her role with all the skill fit her command. Others in the cast oi “Stepping Lively” are Xorval MacGregor. Brinsley Shaw. Fred Kelsey, Mario Carillo, William Clifford, John A\ . Dillon and Victor Ale/.otti.

A good supporting programme, ineluding the serials “The'Purple Riders and the “Go-Getters.”
