One of tlio most impressive casts yet assembled for a motion picture is seen in '• I’rettv Ladies,” a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film, to lie screened at the Princess Theatre to-night. In the leading roles are Tom -Moore and Zasu Pitts, supported by George K. Arthur. Lilyan Taslimnii. ami Itov rPArcy, with Nonna. Shearer, Conrad Nagel, and Ann Pennington as added nltractions, in whose train comes a hand of accomplished and well-known players. This colorful and human picture deals w ith a musical comedy star who had .success in everything save love. I low she wins a theatre drummer while the chorus girls get millionaires, only to nearly lose him to a fascinating stage beauty, is portrayed with pathos and tenderness by Zasu Pitts who is now regarded as one of the greatest character actresses of the screen. .Many scenes ale filmed in natural colours with dazzling artistic effect. Such novelties, and the revealing story of the heart hunger of a woman for love and companionship make this film one that will earn the sinecrest recommendation of all who appreciate genuine entertainment. It was adapted from tile novel by Adela Rogers St. .loliu, whose stories of the stage vividly show life behind the footlights as it really is. Enacted by this brilliant cast, the screen version gives a breath of realism which no words can equal A good supporting programme will also he presented tonight.
