The North-AVest Commission on the alleged killing by police of the natives, cabled on the 9th .March, heard to-day sensational evidence given in a letter produced by tho Commissioner ol Police from Police Inspector Douglas, who stated that he had visited Golcgotemerrie, where he found 21 human teeth and undoubted burnt human remains tit two fires, lie (Douglas) had been told that tour aboriginal men had been burned at one lire, and three gins at the other fire.
In a further statement, Inspector Douglas said that his investigations had satisfied Dim that sixteen natives were burned in three lots. Thousands ol hone fragments were remaining.
