ADOINCTON STOCK SALES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Hay. Messrs H. Matson and Co. report ns follws regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— There was a smaller yarding to last week and a larger proportion of lambs, wkich if anything were slightly easier. Old ewes again were in evidence and eSoept for better sorts were hard to | quit. Wethers were forward in larger • numbers and showed a decided improvement. Rest M,S. lambs realised

One exceptional line of half bred nvo-tootli ewes realised 9s 3d hut there was only a small entry, with the exception of two or three liens. Store ( tittle.—Comprised the usual e,-,y, s and nondescript lots which sold at current rates. There was a poor demand lor other sorts and best throe and four year steers realised Cti 19s to 97 (is, :2 year ditto 93 7s Cd. Pigs.- A large entry of porkers and a medium entry ol bneoners. Pork was easier and bacon firm. Two choppers for a West Const client realised C 7 1 its mol Lti as Cd. Store Pigs.—A good entry and the prices were firmer. Values were 19s (id to ISs (id. slips 19s to 935. Medium store 9ds to 31s. large stores 33s to Pis. Peel.—A very heavy yarding comprised (500 head and included several exceptional lines of station steers and also a consignment from Southland. The quality was generally very good and the entry was more than sufficient for local requirement, consequently the sale was very irregular. At an average drop of 90s per head on last week, prime steers realised Pit 10s to €l4, extra to 919 2s i'd, medium 98 10s, I'll, others to 99, prime heifers 97 lOs to 98 Ids. extra to 912 17s (id. medium Pd Ids to 97 ds, others to 91, prime cows 99 10s to. 98 Ids. extra 910 to 912 17s (id. medium Cd to £6 ds. others to 93.
Mutton.—A slightly larger y.ardiiig than last week and good quality with a larger proportion of wethers. The market opened firmer than last week and continued so till towards the end, when most butchers had ev identic tilled their requirements, consequently the sale eased considerably. However, prices all round were Is above last week. Exporters were operating keenly. Prime wethers 27s (id to 30s (id. extra 3ds 7d. medium 2ds (Id to 275, others to 23s (id. prime ewes 18s to 2ts, extra to 27s 10d, medium I ts (id to 17s lid. freezers 11s fid to Pis. others to 8s 10d.
Eat Lambs.—A similar entry to last week and the market if anything was firmer. Exporters were operating freely and schedule prices were fully maintained and over.
