FOOTBALL.
WEST COAST RUCBY UNION. A meeting of the executive of the West Coast ltughy Union was held last evening, there being present: Messrs J. Guy (chairman), T. Mclntosh, E. Dewar, D. M. Robertson, 11. Steel, A. White, T. Scott, T. Ryan, B. Ryan, W. Ogilvie, J. Kyle, W. Ilannam, and N. IV. Jones (Secretary).
The following players were admitted to the Rugby code on filling in the required form: G. J. C. Morel, James M ayo, J. ,T. O’Leary and J. Matthews.
The following players were reclassified from the senior to junior glade: R. C. Carter (Hokitika), C. Ingram, R. Fisher (Stars).
A request was received from the Referees’ Association for a representative on the Union, and it was resolved to advise that the constitution did not provide for such, and to point out that they already had a representative in Mr T. Mclntosh, who is a vice-presi-dent.
The Westland Sub-Union wrote advising the appointment of Messrs A. White and D. R. Dowell, ns delegate and selector respectively. It was decided to enquire of tho Canterbury Union as to which of ‘*• senior grade teams had a bye on June 3rd, with the object of arranging a match with the team, against the Coast reps, on June 3, the King’s Birthday.
The Secretary was instructed to advise the Westland Sub-Union concerning the fixture, and to express thanks i'or the falling in line of the Union’s senior players.
FIXTURES. The following are the fixtures for next Saturday :
Seniors: Excelsiors v. Magpies at Hokitika at 3 p.m. (Mr Williamson referee) ; Stars v. United at A ground, Park, at 3 p.m. (Mr T. Mclntosh referee). The following are the’ remainder of the first round fixtures: —
May 14 : Kaniori v. United ; Stars v Magpies; Excelsiors a bye. May 21: Excelsiors v. Stars; Magpies v. Kaniori ; United a bye. May 28: Excelsiors v. Kaniori United v. Magpies; Stars a bye.

Dunn (Otago), Burns (Wellington), O’Regan (Wellington), Keene (Auckland). Keegan (Auckland), Linton (Auckland). Smith (Canterbury).
The Aucklanders leave on May 13th and the remainder leave on the same date from Wellington.
