MISSISSIPPI FLOODS
[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] floods spreading. ’ NEW ORLEANS, May 2. The floods are spreading in the northern parishes in the State of Louisiana, and they liavo rendered thousands homeless. In. Monday evening some improvement was reported in the conditions -* South-Eastern Arkansas, and the Mississippi relief workers are now turning their attention to the questions of sanitation and rehabilitation. The Red Cross at- Washington lias appealed to the country to provide another ten million dollars for relief work.
