Mr G. Heinz inserts a notice of thanks in this issue. Mr (L A. AYood inserts a notice thanking all electors for the support given him at last AA eduesday s election. The Lyttelton-Christchnrch excursion train on Saturday brought about 400 passengers to Hokitika, arriving at 2.30 p.m. half an hour late of schedule time. The visitors were met bv many friends and spread all over the town. Upwards r.f a hundred made their way to Lake Kanieri. tin- dredge and other points of interest. The train left on the return journey at G. 25 p.m. The day was very fine for the outing. Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure For Coughs and Colds, never fails.
