| Australia & N.Z. Cable Association. 1 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN VISIT. MELBOURNE, April 29. The Duke and Duchess of York today departed by rail for Adelaide. The route to the station was lined with enormous, cheering crowds. As the result of the Earl of Cavan’s advice, the Smith Australian programme has been materially shortened, several Adelaide engagements being deleted, as the Duchess is suffering slightly from the strain of the tour.
