Time 3.7. < City Handicap.—Rawhetu 1. Tibbie and Battlement a dead heat for second place. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time 3.18. RACING COMMENT. SYDNEY. April 27. The “Herald” commenting on the Cumberland Stakes says a featmc ol the race was the brilliant win of the. New Zealand gelding Limerick. It also proved Heroic is not the formidable opponent he was. It was a slow run race and Limerick ran past the field in a few strides. McCarten appeared to have a good hold of him as he passed the post two and a half lengths ahead of Pantheon. The ■•Herald” refers to the City Handicap as a belated win by Rawhetu and compares the race to the M averlej Handicap of 1925. when Rawhetu showed an unusual hurst of speed in
