Dorothy Alnckiiil appears on the M'lt’cn ol the Princess Theatre to-night in the title role ot Michael Aden's first picture “The Dancer of Paris,” presented through First National hy Itnl.ert, T. Kane, Ris a somewhat new Dorothy .Mackaill who {Traces the various scenes in. ‘•The Dancer of Paris.’ In many ol the sequences she appears with her hair slicked straight hack, a la patent leather, with only a few undulations interrupting its shiny siirtaeo. And she not only presents a new npyearauco. Her work is said lo he more vivid, more dramatic and possessed .of more depth than it has ever hud before. Miss Mackaill was selected to till the important role in the first Arlen picture over screened ove rseveral dozen actresses who were considered. Not only did the sticccsslul actress have to conform with the distinct requirements ns laid down by the author, hut she also lutd to know how to dance. Miss MeKail was the only actress who could fill the hill from every angle. C’omva.v Tourlo is starred in ‘"The Dancer of Paris” with Miss AlcKa.il. Robert Cain appears in the role of Hie heavy. The work of the two men is reported to he as distinctive as that of the feminine star. Caiu. it is stated, handles an exceedingly difficult role cleverly.
