OB PEG “JOKE." WELETXOTOX. April 21. A jinrtieularly heartless praetieal “joke" that took place just before Easter was related by the Probation Officer. Mr T. P. Alills. to-day. One of Air Mill s's charges, a mar ried mail whose wife is in a delicate state of Jan,lth. was one of the victims. "In response to an advertisement in a Wellington paper stating that six pick and shovel men were required at Grafton road. Ro.seneath, said Air Afills, ••this man who was making a genuine effort to mend his ways, vent to the address given.
