]Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.. DUCHESS TAKES A REST. .MELBOURNE, April 22. The Duchess of York rested all the morning. On advice, she lias cancelled a private week-end visit, 'file Duchess took part in the atternoon progress through the city streets. Then she attended a State Parliamentary Reception and an open public reception adjoining the Exhibition Buildings. Great cheering crowds lined the route to and from the functions. DUCHESS ORDERED TO REST. MELBOURNE, April 23. It is unofficially learned that, the Duchess of York is suffering slightly from shock and nervous collapse following the aeroplane fatality. lln Duke has also cancelled the week-end visit, in the country. During the Duke’s tour several bouquets prepared for the Duchess were accepted by him for transfer to Her Highness, who has been ordered to rest so that she may participate at the Canberra ceremonies. To-day public addresses will he piesented in the forenoon, and the Royal party will attend the Flemington races in the afternoon.
