The reasons why a life membership badge should not lie returned were sought from H. Oakley, trustee of N Zealand Rugby League. There was n lengthy discussion. 'I he Secretary, Air Carlaw, alleged that Air Ouhley lmd taken an active part, in the reformation of the City Rugby Club, and at different times bad written letters to the press detrimental to the League code. Air Oakley expressed pleasure in resigning the trusteeship. He declined to forfeit bis life members medallion, as be could not recollect ever having brought, discredit on the Lea gnu game. His resignation was accepted and no action was taken for the recovery of the life membership badge.
