TIIO following is the story: Joe Slavin, fireman on the Transcontinental Limited is in love with Alary Reynolds, daughter of the veteran engineer witli whom .Joe works. Jerry Reynolds, the engineer is losing his sif^lit. hut is aide to hold his job because of the assistance of Joe. who so gains favour with Alary. Tn a few months Jerry will receive his pension. Johnnie Lane, A.K.K. army buddy of Bob Harrison, son of the president of the railroad, returns from Franco in time to prevent the marriage, which Joe is trying to force upon Afary. Joe withdraws hrs help to Jerry, who is forced to resign. Ihe Reynolds are penniless without the means to pay for the all-important operation to save Airs Reynolds’ life. Johnnie fails in his attempts to get Iln> necessary money, hut two former army buddies recover the amount from Joe, who has stolen it from the local railroad depot. From this point there are thrills and suspense galore, as Johnnie, discovering tho source of the
money, endeavours to restore it. The mad rush of the runaway railroad roach! Joe’s attack on Alary! The fight between Johnnie and Joe! The smashing, clashing climax! A hig supporting scries will also be shown, including a two-reel comedy and further chapters of “ The Scarlet Streak.”
