| [ur TELEGRAPH —PEP. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] A JUDGMENT. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 10. Reserved judgment in the ease of Riddilord and others versus B. C. Lsaglit. Mas delivered by the Chief Justice. Plaintiffs claimed C I .(>‘23 damages through defendant allowing a farm leased to him to deteriorate and for failure to comply with the terms of the lease. Justice Skcrrett awarded L'l2l. including tot) fencing. C-'iO for repair of bridge and tot) for failure to keep down fern. etc. by suitable grazing. and gave .judgment, for defendant in respect to a claim for damages foi cutting and removing timber and in respect of noxious weeds. CONSTABLE INJURED. CHRISTCHURCH. April 19. Last evening Constable Furney Mas admitted to the Christchurch hospital suffering from a fractured ankle. The constable attempted to arrest a man in Cashel Street and was kicked heavily on the ankle. The constable is said to have called upon bystanders for aid but nobody helped him A SUICIDE. PALMERSTON X., April 19. Frank Dennis, forty-four, an insurance agent. Mas found dead this morning with his head, round which was wrapped a, sheet, in a gas oven with the gas turned on.
