FOOTBALL.
— WEST FUND SUB-UNION. A'.OND VV, APKiL 11 lb. The Sub-Union met at 7.3 d p.m. Present: .Messrs F. AlcGregor (chair), J. Ntall'ord, J. .J. Breeze. A. Cutbusli, I). R. Dowell. H. Steele and E. AV. Keenan (Secretary). The pervious niiiiut.es were read and confirmed. The annual report and balance sheet was submitted by the Treasurer (Air J. .). Breeze). The year had been a successful one, and the previous year's debit, had been paid off except £4 Ss Gd while assets wore valued at £3O. Cass Square had been top-dressed during the year, while the opportunity had been given the representative team to travel. Appreciation was also made of the work of the Referees' Association and the very small charges made fir travelling expenses. The report and balance sheet were adopted, an appreciative vote being passed to the Referees’ Association for valuable assistance given during the year; to Air A. AV. Yarrall for acting as time-keeper and to the Treasurer, Afr J. J. Breeze, for his untiring efforts to conserve the Union funds. Votes of thanks were also passed to Air G. AV. Keller, for use of room for meeting, and to ATr D. R. Dowell, selector. ANNUAL AI FETING.
The annual meeting of delegates was held at 8 p.m. There were present:—Messrs J. J. Breeze and It. McDonald (Excelsior Club); S. Moore (Boss Club) ; B. Whilev and P. Dougherty (Kanieri Club). E. YT. Hcenan (Binui C'luh): D. B. Dowell (Kokatahi Club); A. Cuthush (Deforces’ Association). ATr F. MeGregor (Ohnirman of last year’s committee) addressed the delegates and Mr J. Stafford (Vice-Presi-dent) also thanked members and they then retired. Mr E. AA r . Heonan was voted to the chair. The following officers were elected. President and Chairman of Sub-Un-ion—Mr F. McGregor. Vice-Presidents—Messrs J. Stafford and D. 8.. Dowell. Secretary and Treasurer—Mr E. AV. Heonan. After discussion it was resolved that a management committee consisting of Messrs F. McGregor, B. AA’hiley, B. McDonald, S. Moore, A. Cuthush, .T. Stafford. D. ft. Dowell and E. AA r . Heonan he appointed to carry on the business of the Sub-Union with a meeting of delegates to he held every month. Mr A. A\ . Yarrall was appointed time-keeper and Mr D. AV. Dowell selector for the Sub-Union on the AA'est Coast Bugbv Union. Postponement Committee— President, Secretary and Mr B. McDonald. The action of the Secretary in agreeing to Tvumara playing under AV.C.B.U was approved. It was resolved to nominate Excelsior and Kanieri for senior competition under the AA’est Coast Bugbv Union. It was resolved that nominations for , the junior and third-grade competitions close on Monday next, the fee being os and 2s (id respectively. The ordinary meeting night was fixed for every Monday. Tt was resolved to ask the Borough Council for the use of Cass Square for football matches. The meeting terminated at 10.30 p.m.
AVEST COAST BUGBV UNION. The Committee met last evening at Greymouth. It was resolved that the action of the Secretary in completing arrange-
ments with the Varsity team (Christ- j church) to play the AVest- Coast reps on Saturday next (Easter Saturday) he endorsed. A letter was received from tlie AYcstand Sub-Union nominating two senior teams in the Grey competitions, viz. Kanicri and Excelsiors, and the nominations were accepted. AVest land Sub-Un ion also wrote agreeing to Kumara Club playing in the Grey district competitions, and it was resolved to accept the nomination of Kiimura Club in the junior grade. Kum.ara Club wrote appointing Afr H. Steel as their delegate on the Union -- Received.
It was resolved that the President immediately get in touch with Tnaugahua and AVesthuul Sub-Unions with a view of selecting a AVest Coast team to meet Christchurch Varsity next Saturday.
