BURGLARS TWO AH’RDKRS. CAIRO. Feb. 6. 4^ One of Cairo's main thoroughfares, the Sharia Bulak. was the scene to-day ot a shooting affray in which two men lost their lives and the lives of two others are in the i.alance. ’Pile sound of shots from a jeweller’s shop attracted a number of passers-by. including a detective, who found the shop door closed and an Egyptian .effecting his escape from the premises bv smashing a plate-glass window. When the detective tried to stop him the man fired a revolver twice, wounding the detective in the stomach and foot. The detective then shot his assailant in the region of the heart. Both were removed to the hospital. When the jeweller’s shop was opened the proprietor and his sou were found dead with revolver wounds. A quantity of jewellery was missing, but was found later on the wounded Egyptian.
