At a meeting of the hxecutive ol tlie Canterbury Sheep Owners’ Union to-day it was decided that the attention of the Agricultural'Department be drawn to the danger of infection through the importation of seeds, plants etc., from countries in which there is foot and mouth disease, and that the Department he urged to take every precaution, even to the extent of the total prohibition of importation of foreign seeds.
