SCULLING.

Interviewed by a reporter in regard to the cabled advice that Alajor Goodsell, the world’s sculling champion had expected to meet him in a match for the championship on April 10th. J. I>. Iliannail said that this newspaper telegram was the first that lie had heard of the proposed date, altlioi he had been expecting advice lrom Major Goodsell. April 10th of course, was out of the question, but he was piepared to meet the champion on any date which would give him an opportunity of reaching San Diego, or any oilier place nominated by the champion. Hannan added that lie had arranged for his stake, and lie had a committee in Wellington arranging for expenses. He had been keeping in training, and lie was prepared to sail for America next month.
