CHRISTCHURCH EXCURSION.
TWO TRAIN'S ON SATURDAY. A COMBINED GATHERING. 'By Telegraph.—Special to Guaroian)CHRISTCHURCH. March 29. A full meeting of the executive oi the West Coasters Association was held to-night. 'lhe Chairman (Mr G. RHuiltor) was empowered to negotiate with Greymnuth and Westßuul Progress League regarding Back to the Coast trains at Christmas, and in connections with Grey mouth Borough Diamond He said the Department had agreed to extending the special concession fares to West Coasters from any part of the Dominion.
A .deputation consisting of Messrs Hunter. L. llolling. C. Hinge, and C. F. Saunders reported having interviewed the District Traffic .M uiager that morning, requesting arrangements for running Saturday's cancelled train, next Saturday tie made. Mr IT. Chapin.m agreed to this. The deputation's action was endorsed. The train leaves Christchurch at <5.25 a.in., au hour before the Point .Elizabeth Co-operative Coal Coy. tr'iin. Other details of the time table have not yet been arranged, hut members of the executive will travel on both trains. It is expected that a motor party organised by the Greymouth Progess League will he recruited from the two trains.
Mr Hunter reported that both trains ■would run to Hokitika. Several athletes for Runanaga snorts would be travelling, also the Marist League seniors. Linwood bowlers, and ladies hockey team. The two soccer teams have cancelled their tickets ns me competitions commence at Christchurch on Saturday.
