At the evening Athletic Sports last ( night, Rose broke Hyde's Australasian S record for three miles by 16 seconds, F doing the distance in 14min. 29 l-ssec. Earlier in the evening lie ran the mile in 4min 31 sec, without extending himself. In the three miles, Rose had outdistanced the field at 2V miles, tho pace being too slow for him. He then made | his own pace, and won by over 600 yards. SYDNEY, March 27. McKoy, of the Botany Harriers, won the 440yds New South Wales Chamionship Hurdles in oSsecs.
