WEEKLY PRICES OF FAT STOCK FOE EXPORT. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that the following prices are being offered for fat stock for export on the 25th March:—Canterbury and North Otago: Prime woolly lambs, 3()lbs and under, BJd; 37-421bs, 7?}d; 431bs and over, oi|d. Second quality lambs, 7-ld. BOLD HEAD SALE. The postponed sale from Wednesday last at these yards was held on Saturday when a record yarding of 337 head of cattle and 282 sheep and lambs were penned. In the cattle section 70 per cent of the yarding comprised cows for which there was little demand and those that changed hands realized prices quite equal to Arahura. Many of the pens were poor stores for which there was no demand.. Good steers on tho other hand were sought after and with one exception all were sold. Sheep sold at ruling prices. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co sold as follows: For Airs E. Chinn, 20 fat ewes at 12s. For H. Reynolds, 39 lambs and wethers at 17s. For .Geo. Linklater, 73 f.in. ewes at 15s. For Jos Manera, hack gelding at £(> 10s. For T. Deering, II calves at 225. For S. Mitchell, 1 stag at 17s fid. For G. Linklater, 8 two to two and a-half yr. steers at £6. For H. Linklater 2 dry cows at £3 2s fid, lyr. steer at £2 10s. For li. Reynolds 4 aged cows at £2 2s Cd, 1 fat cow at £3. For Jno. Douglas, 4 dry cows at £4, 1 springer at £3 12s fid. Ror A. Gardiner, 6 calves at 255. For Mrs Chinn ISnios. steer at £2 10s. For AY. Ei'eock, 2 fat cows at £4 10s. For W. Ellis 4 2.V steers at £3 15s, For Jas. Davidson. 7 fat cows at £0 10s. For Trenbath Bros., 6 fat cows at £5, 16 2.V steers passed at £6 2.s fid.
